Niki Christopher, Attorney

Niki Christopher

Attorney Niki Christopher joined our staff in September 2000. She has represented CURB in numerous electric and natural gas dockets, and has advocated for ratepayers on numerous public policy issues at the KCC, at the Kansas legislature and in the State's appellate courts. A published writer with several academic awards to her credit, Ms. Christopher has authored numerous briefs for CURB, has drafted proposed legislation for legislative committees, and serves as editor of CURBside, CURB's newsletter.

A native of Wichita, Ms. Christopher graduated magna cum laude from Wichita State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She majored in International Studies and minored in French, focusing on twentieth-century diplomatic history and political philosophy. Graduating with honor from the University of Tulsa College of Law, where she was the cartoonist for the school's newspaper, she also earned a certificate in Public Policy and Regulation.

Ms. Christopher worked as an appellate attorney and interned at the state legislature prior to joining CURB. Before attending law school, she worked in the graphics arts industry. In 2004, she served as an ex officio member of the Wind and Prairie Task Force.
