Henry Hungerbeeler, Member
Henry Hungerbeeler is a decorated combat veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he served as an airlift, air rescue, and special operations pilot and commander of various units including Andrews AFB... the home of Air Force One. Following his military service, he served as Missouri's Director of the Department of Transportation where his policies helped MoDOT improve its national ranking from the bottom 10% to the top 10%. He then taught the capstone course in civil engineering at the University of Missouri.
Mr. Hungerbeeler is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and has a Master's degree from Webster University. He is also a distinguished graduate of the army's Command and General Staff College at Ft. Leavenworth and the Air War College and has studied at the Harvard/MIT/Kennedy School of Government.
Henry and his wife, Anne, have two children and four grandchildren and reside in Leavenworth where he currently works for Northrop Grumman Technology Services in support of the army's Mission Command Training Program. He is also a member of the Commission on Emergency Planning and Response and a governor's appointee to the Northeast Kansas Library System.
