Carol I. Faucher, Member

Governor Kathleen Sebelius appointed Carol I. Faucher to the Citizens' Utility Ratepayer Board (CURB) on July 29, 2003, and was reappointed for another term in 2008.
Ms. Faucher is the Corporate Attorney for all Tyr entities. She also serves as Corporate Compliance Officer, Corporate Secretary on the boards, and as Contracts Manager for Tyr Energy. Prior to joining Tyr, she spent over seventeen years as senior counsel at a major telecommunications company in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
Ms. Faucher earned a Juris Doctor degree with Dean's Honors from Washburn University School of Law, where she was also Executive Editor of the Law Journal and law clerk to the Dean of the law school for two years. She also earned a Master of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of Missouri, Kansas City and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Kansas.
She has led and served on numerous professional and charitable boards and committees. Ms. Faucher has also taught transactional, writing, and litigation law classes and has had several articles published.
Ms. Faucher and her husband Arthur Kowalski, live in Leawood, Kansas. She is serving a four-year term which expires June 30, 2011.
